Differentiated Instruction for Writing

Differentiated instruction, also called differentiation, is a process through which teachers enhance learning by matching student characteristics to instruction and assessment. Writing instruction can be differentiated to allow students varying amounts of time to complete assignments, to give students different writing product options, and to teach skills related to the writing process.

How to Improve your Child's Writing Skills



No matter how smart your child is, poor writing skills can hold him back academically. Bad habits developed at a young age can become ingrained and are difficult to break later. However, younger children usually are very receptive to learning language skills, and a little extra help can go a long way. As with most skills, writing is best practiced often. Using the exercises embedded within games and activities can help.
