Cut out flowers and pots from cardboards. On each flower write the beginning sound/s (onset) of a word and on the pots the ending (rhyme). Use CVC (consonant, vowel, consonant) words. Ask children to match the flowers to the correct pots to create words. After they finish, practice spelling out the words they made.
